How we started.

Ashankura was founded in 2012 to serve the migrant workers who migrated to urban areas to earn more to make ends meet. It has been in field of social welfare for more than a decade. Ashankura provides medical care, education, legal assistance and conducts recreational activities for these communities.

Ashankura provides assistance to an approximate 4 500 population residing at 8 different locations in the city

The migrant workers live in sub-human conditions in the slums in and around Bangalore. Many of these people work in the construction industry, building posh flats and houses. It's an irony that the affluent are oblivious, of the living and working conditions, of the people who built the houses and office they live in.
