HEALTH CAMPS

In 2019- 2020 we intend to organize more health camps in homeless/migrants pockets so that people access medicines for simple ailments including Diabetic, BP, etc. Help people to have check up of malnutrition, tuberculosis, asthma, etc. which are commonly found among them and enable them to access proper medicines. It has been organizing camps earlie.

We have always come forward and supported the people in need particularly during such difficult times like the ones that we face today during this pandemic of COVID-19. We have identified a mix of 665 families living in slums who are daily wage labourers or migrant labourers or coolies at the railway station and have gone out of work during the lockdown. Hence, they have exhausted all their resources and are struggling with making the ends meet.

We would be procuring the material for the dry ration kit and sanitization kit to be distributed to the most marginalized. Then we would be packing it into respective kits and then arrange for distribution of the same amongst the beneficiary families who have been identified in advance.

Ashankura will reach these kinds of locations and mobilise parents and children for formal orientation/awareness camp and ask them about their children’s education and encourage them to join the school (informal education) for about two to three months at their nearby locations alone and also some TENT SCHOOL. Once if any children’s are more interested and after the orientation from our team we will make them to join to govt. school for further studies and this way we will bring these children’s into mainstream of formal education.
